Victor G. Vargas, M.D. Victor G. Vargas, M.D. was born in Colombia and is a double trained physician in Family Medicine as well as Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Dr. Vargas finished training in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he was honored with the outstanding resident award. In addition to his successful residency in primary care, he was also trained in Orthopedic and Traumatology surgery in Colombia. Dr. Vargas earned his medical degree and specialization from Javeriana University Medical School in Bogota, Colombia. Prior to coming to the United States Dr. Vargas had a prosperous career in the university and academic fields as well as private practice for over ten years in Colombia. Dr. Vargas is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the Latin American Orthopeadic and Traumatology Society (SLAOT) and the Colombian Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgery Society (SCCOT) among others. Dr. Vargas has special interest for primary care sport medicine and general musculoskeletal conditions. He loves sports and you will see him on the soccer games sidelines cheering for his children teams. He is very pleased to live in Arkansas along with his lovely family. Dr. Vargas is married to Martha, who is also a physician, and his three beautiful children, Camilla, Andres and David. |
