Physical Therapy

Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics Physical Therapy Center has existed for many years. Originally the practice was associated solely with Arkansas Sports Medicine. When Arkansas Sports Medicine merged with Arkansas Specialty Care Centers, so did the physical therapy practice. At that point, services were expanded to include specialized Orthopaedics. Currently, the staff consists of five licensed physical therapists with more than 30 years combined experience. That experience, along with the therapists' close relationship to all referring physicians, makes for an unprecedented level of expertise available to patients for rehabilitation.

The Physical Therapy Center treats patients with many orthopaedic conditions. One area of expertise includes treatment of the spine. The therapists, along with spine surgeons in the group have developed a spinal stabilization program. The therapists and physicians have also developed protocols for treating many shoulder conditions such as rotator cuff repairs, tendonitis, frozen shoulder, post fractures and post dislocation repairs.

Another area of expertise is treatment of the lower extremities with total knee replacements, ankle reconstructions, postsurgical meniscectomies, fractures, sprains\strains, tendonitis, bursitis and orthotic applications for proper foot alignment.

The center assures quality physical therapy to speed recovery and to complete rehabilitation during the important days following surgery. Physical Therapy is available at the Little Rock and Sherwood offices.
