Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics is proud to offer an MRI Center for your MRI needs. Our state-of-the-art Siemens Magnetom Symphony 1.5 Tesla is dedicated for the imaging of the brain, spine, and muscoskeletal system, with software packages including Turbo Ortho, Head and Neck Angiography, as well as Diffusion Imaging.

Our MRI system has a short bore magnet that is five feet long, with a
central diameter of 22 inches. Our equipment will also accommodate patients up to 440 lbs. This allows the patient to be more comfortable during their procedure. MRI scans are performed by our trained technologists and are typically completed within 30-45 minutes. Films are then processed and available immediately for the patient to carry to their physician’s office. The images are then forwarded via Teleradiography to the radiologist for interpretation. An interpretation of the images can then be obtained within a few hours.

Please notify your doctor if you have any of the following items as these will prevent you from having an MRI scan:  

• Pacemaker
• Brain Aneurysm clips
• Neurostimulators
• Cochlear implants

Disclosure of Ownership

The surgeons in this practice have some ownership in Arkansas Specialty Outpatient Surgery Center and Springhill Outpatient Surgery Center. Also, the surgeons of this practice have ownership in Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics Physical and Occupational Therapy and Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics MRI Center. We respect the rights of our patients to choose not only their surgeon but also where they wish to have their surgery, physical therapy, and diagnostic testing. We encourage our patients to discuss any concerns they have with us at the time of their office visit.
