Marcia L. Hixson, M.D

Marcia L Hixson, MD received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed a surgical internship and orthopaedic residency at the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her fellowship in surgery of the hand and upper extremity at UAMS and subspecializes in upper extremity injuries and conditions, with special interest in wrist ligament injuries and nerve problems, and their healing potential. Dr. Hixson is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, with a certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery. Dr. Hixson lives in Little Rock with her husband, Richard, who is a dentist in North Little Rock. She is active in her support of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, sings in her church choir, and enjoys playing tennis in her spare time.
