Hand and Upper Extremity
Arkansas Specialty Hand & Upper Extremity
Center
The Arkansas Specialty Hand & Upper Extremity Center serves patients
with upper extremity injuries from the elbow to the
hand. Typical diagnoses include traumatic injuries such as fractures
and lacerated tendons, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, and
other cumulative stress injuries, congenital deformities and
neurological and arthritic conditions.
The
Hand & Upper Extremity team consists of hand surgeons, occupational
therapists, and technical assistants. The occupational
therapists have specialized training in the treatment of upper
extremity injuries and are members of the American Society of Hand
Therapists. The therapy team works closely with the referring
physician to assure each patient reaches the maximum level of
recovery with individualized treatment and home exercise programs.
