Hand and upper extremity specialists treat conditions and injuries from the elbow to the fingertips, such as fractures and lacerated tendons, carpal tunnel syndrome, congenital deformities, tennis elbow and other cumulative stress injuries, as well as neurological and arthritic conditions.
The fellowship-trained hand surgeons of Arkansas Specialty Orthopaedics are skilled in the latest diagnostic and surgical techniques. We also have a staff of hand therapists who work with our surgeons to treat conditions of the upper extremity. Our hand/occupational therapists are all members of the American Society of Hand Therapists.
The therapy team works closely with the physician to ensure that each patient reaches the maximum level of recovery through individualized treatment and home exercise programs.
Hand therapy, also known as occupational therapy, is an integral part of healing conditions of the upper extremity. ASO’s licensed occupational therapists work closely with our fellowship-trained hand surgeons to customize splints and administer treatment protocols specific to each patient.
For our patients’ convenience, hand/occupational therapy is located just steps away from the hand clinic at our Little Rock location.
