Jeanine A. Andersson, M.D.

Dr. Jeanine Andersson was born and raised outside of Chicago, Illinois. She attended the University of Iowa and received a degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics minoring in French studies.

Following college, Dr. Andersson attended medical school at So. Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois participating in overseas studies and teaching in Aligrah, India at the University of Sint Eustatius Medical School.

From there she completed her general orthopaedic training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She went on to complete a fellowship in Hand & Microsurgery at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. She was part of the Free Vascularized Fibular Graft team at Duke where completion of the 2500th Free Vascularized Fibular graft was performed under Drs. J. Urbaniak and Aldridge.

Dr. Andersson returns to Arkansas practicing in the Hand and Upper Extremity division of ASO. Her interests include upper extremity injuries and repetitive conditions with problems involving the tendons, nerves, ligaments and bones.

Dr. Andersson is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Piedmont Society, and the American Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
